Greetings,
You Are Not Alone on the Journey
“I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.” – Psalm 32:8
Unpacking the Message of Psalm 32:8
Psalm 32:8 says, “I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.” This verse is more than a comforting promise—it's a powerful declaration of God's desire to be intimately involved in every step of our journey. It shows us that God is not distant, nor does He leave us to navigate the complexities of life on our own. Rather, He takes on the role of a loving guide, one who walks with us, speaks to us, watches over us, and gently leads us forward, even when the path is unclear.
When God says, “I will instruct you,” He is revealing that His wisdom is not generic or abstract. It is personal, tailored, and timely. This isn’t just about biblical principles in the broad sense—it’s about God giving you exactly what you need to know for the moment you’re in. His instruction is not meant to merely fill your head with knowledge, but to shape your steps, your decisions, your attitude, and your outlook. He doesn't just give directions; He disciples.
And then He says, “I will teach you in the way you should go.” This implies a journey, a forward movement. Life isn’t static. God is not simply interested in helping you stay afloat; He is intent on leading you toward purpose, maturity, and fruitfulness. The “way you should go” is not always the way that feels easiest or most familiar, but it’s the way He has designed for you—a way that leads to life, peace, and eternal reward. Often, the challenge is not in knowing there’s a way but in choosing to follow it, especially when it doesn’t make sense from a worldly perspective. But when God is your teacher, you can walk in confidence, even when the path is unfamiliar or unpopular.
The next line, “I will counsel you,” goes deeper still. Instruction and teaching can be formal, but counsel is intimate. It’s relational. This is God sitting with you, speaking into your heart, helping you process your thoughts, emotions, and challenges. The counsel of God is not a cold command—it is warm wisdom wrapped in compassion. It reminds us that we have access to divine insight, not just through Scripture but through an ongoing relationship with the Holy Spirit, who speaks, prompts, convicts, and comforts.
And then there’s this beautiful reassurance: “With my loving eye on you.” God’s guidance is never detached. He is not instructing you from afar, nor is He waiting for you to figure it out and report back. His eyes are always on you—not with judgment or suspicion, but with love. The God of the universe watches over you as a Father watches over His beloved child. There is protection, there is attentiveness, there is care. His eye on you means He sees what’s ahead even when you can’t. He sees the danger before it reaches you. He sees the opportunity you might overlook. He sees your potential even when you doubt yourself.
This verse also reminds us that divine guidance is not always a dramatic, thunderous event. It often comes in quiet moments—in prayer, in Scripture, in the gentle nudge of the Holy Spirit. Sometimes we want the sky to part or a sign to fall from the heavens, but more often than not, God leads through subtle confirmations, through peace that surpasses understanding, through Scripture that suddenly feels tailor-made for your situation.

Psalm 32:8 calls us to cultivate a spirit of attentiveness to God’s voice. It’s a call to slow down, to trust, to tune our ears to hear the whisper rather than waiting only for the shout. And to know that His instruction is always for our good, even when it requires surrender.
This verse also teaches us that God’s guidance isn’t reserved for perfect people. If you read the earlier verses of Psalm 32, it’s a psalm of repentance. David writes of the freedom that comes from confessing sin and receiving forgiveness. In that context, verse 8 is a beautiful continuation—it’s as if God is saying, “Now that you’ve returned to Me, let Me show you the way. I won’t leave you guessing. I will walk with you.” So even if you feel like you’ve failed or wandered, this verse is proof that God's desire to lead you remains intact. His guidance is not withheld because of your past. In fact, He delights in restoring you to the path and walking with you.
In our world today, with all its noise and confusion, it’s easy to become overwhelmed by the multitude of voices telling us what we should do, where we should go, or who we should become. This verse stands in stark contrast to all of that. It invites us to quiet those voices and make room for the one voice that truly matters. It reminds us that we are not left to rely solely on our own understanding. God has promised to instruct, to teach, to counsel, and to keep His loving eye on us. That’s the kind of direction we can trust—direction that flows from a heart of love, wisdom, and eternal perspective.
Let this verse not be just a source of comfort, but a catalyst for action. Are you seeking His instruction daily? Are you submitting your plans to His teaching? Are you sitting still long enough to hear His counsel? Are you living with the assurance that His eye is lovingly watching over you?
Psalm 32:8 isn’t just an invitation to guidance—it’s an invitation to intimacy with God. And in that closeness, you’ll find clarity, courage, and peace for whatever journey lies ahead.

A prominent verse related to generational stewardship of money is Proverbs 13:22, which states, "A good man leaves an inheritance to his children's children."
This verse suggests that part of being a good steward of wealth includes planning for the future and ensuring the well-being of future generations of kingdom builders.
This verse is often cited in discussions about financial planning and legacy, it's important to remember that the Bible also emphasizes the importance of giving to those in need and being content with what one has, rather than accumulating wealth for its own sake.
The focus should be on using resources wisely and for God's glory first and foremost, NOT simply leaving a large sum of generational money.
My mission is to serve followers of Christ through helping them become builders of His kingdom. Trading is NOT a get rich scheme, rather it's a skillset that when applied from the perspective of stewarding God's wealth and will first, proves to be incredibly fulfilling!

Here's our 7-day journaling and prayer guide based on Psalm 32:8 — “I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.” — to help you draw closer to God’s guidance, embrace His wisdom, and grow more confident in following His direction for your life.
Day 1: God's Promise to Lead You
Reflect on what it means that God Himself promises to instruct and teach you. Do you live as if He truly wants to guide you? Or do you often try to figure things out on your own? Write about a time when you leaned into His direction and what the outcome was.
Prayer Focus: Thank God for being your personal guide. Ask Him to make your heart sensitive to His voice and instruction.
Day 2: Hearing His Voice
What does God’s voice sound like in your life? How does He typically speak to you — through Scripture, prayer, quiet nudges, or godly counsel? Journal about how you can position yourself to better hear and recognize His direction.
Prayer Focus: Ask God to tune your ears and heart to hear His voice more clearly this week.
Day 3: Letting Go of Control
Do you struggle with wanting to control your own path? What areas of your life do you resist surrendering to God’s instruction? Be honest in your journal. Write down those areas and why surrender feels difficult.
Prayer Focus: Invite God to help you trust His wisdom more than your own instincts or plans.
Day 4: His Loving Eye on You
What does it mean to you that God watches over you with a "loving eye"? Reflect on how His love and care shape the way He teaches and counsels you. He’s not a distant commander but a loving Father. Describe what that relationship feels like when you slow down and consider it deeply.
Prayer Focus: Thank God for being lovingly present in your journey. Ask Him to give you peace and assurance of His watchful care.
Day 5: Discerning the Way to Go
Think about a decision you’re currently facing. Use this verse to invite God into your discernment process. Ask Him questions in your journal and be open to writing what you sense Him impressing on your heart. Allow the Spirit to lead your thoughts as you write.
Prayer Focus: Pray for clarity and peace regarding your next steps. Surrender the outcome and ask for alignment with His will.
Day 6: Walking in Obedience
God’s instruction isn’t just for hearing — it’s for living. Is there anything He’s been teaching you lately that you haven’t acted on? Journal about any areas where obedience has been delayed and what steps you can take now to walk in alignment with His voice.
Prayer Focus: Ask God for the courage and humility to follow through with whatever He’s calling you to do.
Day 7: Looking Back, Looking Forward
Reflect on your week. How has this verse come alive in your experience? Where have you sensed God's instruction, teaching, or loving oversight? What are you still waiting for Him to reveal? What new things has He shown you?
Prayer Focus: Offer gratitude for how He’s led you this week. Commit the path ahead into His hands, and ask to continue walking in step with His guidance.
