Light, in this context, symbolizes purity, truth, holiness, and life. By identifying God as light, the verse communicates that everything about Him is good, clear, and free from any form of corruption or evil.
The phrase “in him there is no darkness at all” emphasizes the absolute nature of God’s holiness. Darkness often represents sin, deception, and moral imperfection. You are not called to be perfect.

Heavenly Father,
Thank You for revealing who You are—pure, holy, and full of light. Your Word reminds us that in You there is no darkness at all. There is no confusion, no deceit, no shadow in Your presence. You are completely good, completely true, and completely trustworthy.
