Greetings,
"... , and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." ✝️

Unpacking the Message of John 1:1
John 1:1 is one of the most profound declarations in all of Scripture, revealing the eternal nature and divine identity of Jesus Christ. The verse begins with the words, “In the beginning was the Word,” immediately drawing attention back to Genesis 1:1, where creation itself begins. By using this phrase, John places Jesus outside the boundaries of time and creation. Before anything existed, the Word already was. This means Jesus did not begin at Bethlehem; He existed eternally before the world was formed.
The title “the Word” carries deep meaning. In the original Greek, the term “Logos” refers to divine reason, wisdom, communication, and expression. John uses this title to reveal Jesus as the ultimate expression of God. Through Christ, God makes Himself known fully and personally. Jesus is not merely someone who speaks God’s message; He is God’s message revealed in living form.
The phrase “the Word was with God” reveals both relationship and distinction within the nature of God. Jesus existed in perfect fellowship with the Father from eternity. There is intimacy, unity, and communion within the Godhead. This statement shows that Jesus is distinct from the Father, yet fully united with Him.
John then makes the bold declaration, “and the Word was God.” This statement leaves no room for reducing Jesus to merely a prophet, teacher, or created being. John affirms clearly that Jesus possesses the very nature of God Himself. He is eternal, divine, and equal with the Father in essence and glory.
This verse establishes the foundation for understanding the entire Gospel of John. Everything Jesus says, does, and reveals throughout His earthly ministry flows from this truth: He is God in human form. His miracles are not simply displays of power; they are revelations of divine authority. His words are not merely wise teachings; they carry eternal truth because they come from God Himself.
John 1:1 also reveals that God is not silent or distant. The concept of the Word implies communication. Through Jesus, God speaks directly into human history. Humanity does not have to guess who God is or what He is like. In Christ, the invisible God becomes known and understandable.
The eternal nature of Christ also brings stability and assurance to believers. Human life is temporary and constantly changing, but Jesus existed before creation itself. He is not subject to time, decay, or uncertainty. This means His promises are trustworthy and His authority is unshakable.

The verse highlights the centrality of Christ in creation. Just a few verses later, John explains that all things were made through Him. Jesus is not only Savior but Creator. The same One who formed the universe is the One who entered it to redeem humanity. This connection reveals both His power and His love.
John 1:1 also challenges believers to view Jesus with reverence and worship. If He is truly God, then He deserves complete trust, obedience, and devotion. Christianity is not built merely on moral principles or religious tradition, but on the person of Jesus Christ Himself.
The verse further reveals the personal nature of God’s desire for relationship. The eternal Word eventually becomes flesh and dwells among humanity. God’s plan was never distant observation, but intimate involvement. From eternity, Christ existed with the purpose of revealing God and bringing humanity into relationship with Him.
This verse also speaks into human longing for meaning and truth. People search for purpose, direction, and understanding, yet John reveals that ultimate truth is found in Christ. Jesus is not only the source of life but the source of meaning itself because He is the eternal Word through whom all things exist.
Ultimately, John 1:1 is a declaration of who Jesus truly is. He is eternal, divine, Creator, revealer, and Savior. The verse invites believers to move beyond shallow understanding and recognize the majesty of Christ. It calls them to place their trust fully in the One who existed before all things and through whom all things hold together.
In the end, John 1:1 establishes that Jesus Christ is not merely part of the story of God—He is central to it. Before creation began, He was. Before humanity fell, He was. Before redemption unfolded, He was. And because He is eternal God, believers can trust Him completely with both their present lives and their eternal future.

A prominent verse related to generational stewardship of money is Proverbs 13:22, which states, "A good man leaves an inheritance to his children's children."
This verse suggests that part of being a good steward of wealth includes planning for the future and ensuring the well-being of future generations of kingdom builders.
This verse is often cited in discussions about financial planning and legacy, it's important to remember that the Bible also emphasizes the importance of giving to those in need and being content with what one has, rather than accumulating wealth for its own sake.
The focus should be on using resources wisely and for God's glory first and foremost, NOT simply leaving a large sum of generational money.
My mission is to serve followers of Christ through helping them become builders of His kingdom. Trading is NOT a get rich scheme, rather it's a skillset that when applied from the perspective of stewarding God's wealth and will first, proves to be incredibly fulfilling!

John 1:1 is not just a statement about who Jesus was—it is about how you live when you truly understand who He is now.
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”
This verse reveals:
• Jesus is eternal
• Jesus is God
• Jesus existed before everything else
• Jesus is the ultimate truth and authority
If you don’t apply this, Jesus can become:
• a distant religious figure
• a source of inspiration only
• someone you acknowledge but don’t fully trust
If you do apply it, your life begins to center around Him completely.
This verse is about building your identity, decisions, and worldview around the reality of Christ.

Jesus is not temporary.
Jesus is not secondary.

And when you truly believe that, your entire life begins to realign around Him.

Closing thoughts as we pray for those reading or hearing this verse today...
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for the eternal truth revealed in Your Word—that in the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with You, and the Word was God. Thank You for revealing Jesus Christ as eternal, divine, and present before all creation. Our faith rests not on human ideas, but on the living and eternal Son of God.
Lord, help us grow in awe of who Jesus truly is. Open our hearts to understand that He is not merely a teacher or prophet, but God Himself who came to reveal Your love, truth, and salvation to the world. Let this truth deepen our worship and strengthen our trust in Him.
Jesus, thank You for being the eternal Word who spoke life into creation and who now speaks truth into our hearts. Help us listen closely to Your voice through Scripture and follow You faithfully in our daily lives. Let Your truth shape our thoughts, guide our decisions, and transform our hearts.
Holy Spirit, strengthen our faith when doubts arise. Remind us that Jesus is eternal, unchanging, and fully trustworthy. Help us stand firm in the truth of who He is and live with confidence that our lives are securely held in His hands.
Father, may our hearts grow closer to Christ each day. Let us love Him more deeply, trust Him more fully, and worship Him with reverence and joy. May the eternal Word continue to renew and transform us from the inside out.
In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen 🙏🏻
