Greetings,
His Unfailing Love Catches You Every Time
Psalm 94:18 - “When I said, ‘My foot is slipping,’ your unfailing love, Lord, supported me.”
Unpacking the Message of Verse Psalm 94:18
Psalm 94:18 says, “When I said, ‘My foot is slipping,’ your unfailing love, Lord, supported me.” This single verse opens a wellspring of encouragement for those feeling uncertain, overwhelmed, or weary from life’s constant instability. It speaks directly to the soul that knows what it feels like to lose footing—physically, emotionally, spiritually—and yet finds divine strength upholding them.
Let’s reflect deeply on what it means to say, “My foot is slipping.” This phrase paints the picture of vulnerability, of being on the edge of falling, perhaps from moral failure, burnout, despair, or confusion. It’s a moment of weakness, of recognizing that you’re not in control. And it’s precisely at that moment—not before, not after—that the Lord’s unfailing love becomes the answer. Not just a helping hand, but a sustaining presence. Not a conditional response, but a steady, unwavering support rooted in His covenant love.
This verse doesn’t tell us that slipping is avoidable or even shameful. It validates the reality of slipping—it is something even the righteous experience. The psalmist doesn’t hide his struggle; he confesses it. And that honest confession becomes the doorway to God’s intervention. God’s love doesn’t always remove the danger of the cliff, but it does anchor us in the middle of it. That kind of faithfulness becomes the spiritual equivalent of catching a child as they stumble—it’s not punitive, it’s protective.
Psalm 94 as a whole is a psalm of justice and comfort, written in a time of apparent injustice. The psalmist is crying out against the arrogance and wickedness that seem to go unpunished, and he’s seeking reassurance that God sees, hears, and will act. So when he says, “My foot is slipping,” he’s speaking from the weight of that discouragement. Yet what surprises us is that God’s response isn’t first about wrath or judgment, but about unfailing love. God’s first answer to our slipping is always grace. That love lifts, stabilizes, and gives strength we didn’t know we had.
Now consider what it means that this love is “unfailing.” In Hebrew, the word often used here is chesed, which denotes a covenantal, faithful, loyal love. This is not just emotion; it’s action-oriented, dependable, and eternal. It means that no matter how unstable we feel, His love doesn’t fluctuate based on our performance. We slip; His love stays.

There’s also a beautiful shift of perspective embedded in this verse. Instead of being dominated by the fear of falling, the psalmist chooses to focus on the Lord’s support. It’s not just about the danger—it’s about the Deliverer. This transforms the believer’s mindset: we move from fear-based living to faith-based resting. We stop obsessing over how far we might fall and begin trusting in how strongly He holds us.
This verse is also a powerful reassurance for those navigating spiritual battles. Perhaps your foot is slipping in your walk with the Lord. Maybe doubt has crept in, or temptation has grown louder. Maybe the demands of life have caused your devotion to waver. In these very moments, this verse declares: you are not alone, and you are not unsupported. God’s love is not a vague comfort—it is an active, stabilizing force that intervenes even when we don’t see it.
There’s another profound layer here: sometimes the support doesn’t come in the way we expect. It may not be a miraculous removal of problems, but rather a supernatural endurance through them. Sometimes God’s love supports you by sending a friend to speak truth, giving you the right verse at the right time, or whispering hope into your spirit during prayer. It could be that you're “slipping” emotionally—and God brings peace in the middle of your anxiety. Or maybe it’s financial, relational, even physical—and somehow, despite it all, you're still standing. That’s His love. That’s His support.
This verse invites us to trust in the constancy of God’s presence more than the reliability of our own footing. Life will always give us moments of uncertainty, but His love does not waver. It becomes a solid foundation under us when the ground gives way.
So what do we do with this verse practically? First, we acknowledge when our foot is slipping. There’s no shame in confession. Second, we call upon the Lord’s support—not as a last resort, but as our first response. Third, we cultivate an awareness of His love.
And finally, we let this love shape the way we walk—not with fear, but with trust.
Psalm 94:18 is not just a moment of rescue—it’s a promise of relationship. The God who sees your foot slipping is the same God who never lets go. And His unfailing love is not just a lifeline. It’s a lifestyle.

A prominent verse related to generational stewardship of money is Proverbs 13:22, which states, "A good man leaves an inheritance to his children's children."
This verse suggests that part of being a good steward of wealth includes planning for the future and ensuring the well-being of future generations of kingdom builders.
This verse is often cited in discussions about financial planning and legacy, it's important to remember that the Bible also emphasizes the importance of giving to those in need and being content with what one has, rather than accumulating wealth for its own sake.
The focus should be on using resources wisely and for God's glory first and foremost, NOT simply leaving a large sum of generational money.
My mission is to serve followers of Christ through helping them become builders of His kingdom. Trading is NOT a get rich scheme, rather it's a skillset that when applied from the perspective of stewarding God's wealth and will first, proves to be incredibly fulfilling!

Here is a 7-day journaling and reflection guide based on Psalm 94:18 —
"When I said, ‘My foot is slipping,’ your unfailing love, Lord, supported me."
Each day builds on the message of God’s faithful presence in our weakness and His sustaining grace:
Day 1 – Recognizing Slippery Ground
Reflect on a recent moment where you felt like you were “slipping”—emotionally, spiritually, or in life’s circumstances.
Journal Prompt: What made that situation feel unstable? Did you turn to God in that moment? Why or why not?
Prayer Focus: Ask God to reveal the areas of your life where you need His steadying hand.
Day 2 – The Honesty of the Psalmist
The verse starts with a confession, “When I said…” — it invites vulnerability.
Journal Prompt: Where do you struggle to be honest about your spiritual or emotional condition? What would it look like to speak those fears to God?
Prayer Focus: Thank God that He listens to your honest heart without condemnation.
Day 3 – The Nature of God’s Love
God’s “unfailing love” is the source of support in the verse. His love is not reactive but constant.
Journal Prompt: How has God’s love shown up in your life in ways you didn’t expect?
Prayer Focus: Meditate on and give thanks for the times God supported you when you were unaware.
Day 4 – Slipping vs. Falling
There’s a difference between losing your balance and completely falling. God's love doesn’t always prevent the stumble but keeps you from being lost in it.
Journal Prompt: Write about a time God caught you spiritually or emotionally when things seemed to be going off course.
Prayer Focus: Praise Him for His protective love that rescues, even mid-slip.
Day 5 – How God Supports
Support doesn’t always look like escape. Sometimes it’s endurance, encouragement through others, or renewed hope.
Journal Prompt: Who or what has God used in your life as “support”? What did His love feel like in those moments?
Prayer Focus: Ask God to help you recognize and be thankful for the many ways He strengthens you.
Day 6 – Helping Others Who Slip
Once we’ve been supported, we’re called to be a source of stability for others.
Journal Prompt: Who around you is “slipping” today? How can you extend God’s unfailing love to them?
Prayer Focus: Ask the Lord to use you as a channel of His love to someone in need this week.
Day 7 – Declaring His Faithfulness
Return to the verse and reflect again on its depth after your week of prayer.
Journal Prompt: How has your understanding of God’s support deepened this week? Write a declaration of trust based on your reflections.
Prayer Focus: Thank God for being a God who catches you every time. Surrender this next season of life into His hands.
This journaling journey helps you internalize Psalm 94:18—not just as comfort, but as a daily way of living in trust and gratitude for God’s steadfast love.
Let this verse become the way you look at every moment where life feels shaky.

Closing thoughts as we pray for those reading or hearing this verse today...
Dear Beloved in Christ,
His Unfailing Love Catches You Every Time
We all stumble.
We all have moments when our footing feels unsure—when the path ahead is clouded by uncertainty, anxiety, or pain.
But in every faltering step, God is not far off.
He is right there, holding us steady with His faithful hand.
Psalm 94:18 reminds us of this powerful truth: “When I said, ‘My foot is slipping,’ your unfailing love, Lord, supported me.”
What a promise to cling to!
His love doesn’t waver based on our strength or success.
It upholds us when we’re weak, confused, or overwhelmed.
It’s in those very moments—when we admit, “I can’t do this alone”—that we feel the firm grip of His grace the most.
Let this verse be a reminder today: you are never falling alone.
You are always being lifted by love that cannot fail.
Faithful to the Word, anchored in His love.
Standing with you in Christ ✝️
