Greetings,
He Is Coming Soon—Live Each Day in Expectation
“Look, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to each person according to what they have done.” — Revelation 22:12

Unpacking the Message of Verse Revelation 22:12
Revelation 22:12 proclaims: “Look, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to each person according to what they have done.” This verse, found near the conclusion of the Bible, captures a sweeping and sobering truth about Christ's return, the reality of divine justice, and the eternal weight of our present choices.
At its core, this verse is a personal declaration from Jesus. The urgency in His voice—"I am coming soon"—reminds us that history is not wandering aimlessly. There is a destination. The end is not chaos, but consummation. Jesus’ return is not only imminent, it is purposeful. He does not come empty-handed. He comes as Judge, as King, and as the Bridegroom ready to claim His Church.
The phrase “my reward is with me” calls to mind the consistency of God’s justice throughout Scripture. In Hebrews 11:6, it is written that God is “a rewarder of those who diligently seek him.” Jesus is not introducing a new concept here; rather, He is affirming what the faithful have always believed—there is a reward for righteous living, and that reward is held in the hand of the Lord Himself. It is not man who rewards, nor is it the world that determines your worth. It is Christ alone.
This verse also points to accountability. “According to what they have done” does not mean salvation is earned by works—it is not. Scripture makes it clear in Ephesians 2:8-9 that we are saved by grace through faith. But our deeds matter. Why? Because they are the evidence of that faith. James 2:17 says, “faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.” The Christian life is not one of passive belief but of active obedience.
This verse challenges each believer to consider the daily rhythms of life. What are we doing with the time, talent, and truth God has entrusted to us? Are we living as stewards or as owners? Are we investing in eternal things or clinging to temporary ones? The promise that Christ will "give to each person" based on their deeds should stir within us a deep desire to live purposefully, to serve sacrificially, and to love radically.

Another powerful truth in this verse is the personal nature of Jesus’ return. “Each person” indicates that no one is overlooked. No act of faithfulness is forgotten, no hidden sacrifice is missed, no injustice will go unaddressed. That’s both comforting and convicting. It means that even the smallest acts done in His name—whether encouraging a friend, forgiving an enemy, or serving the poor—have eternal significance.
The context of Revelation 22 adds further weight to the message. This chapter wraps up the entire narrative of Scripture. The garden of Eden becomes the city of God. The brokenness of sin becomes the beauty of restoration. Revelation 22 is filled with images of final glory—of the water of life, the tree of life, and the throne of God. And right there in the middle of all this beauty is the warning and the promise: Jesus is coming soon.
So how should we live in light of this truth? With readiness. With hope. With intentionality. With love. To believe this verse is to orient your life around eternity, not merely survival. It is to view every act of obedience as a seed sown for a harvest in heaven. It is to live as if today could be the day when the sky is split and the King returns.
Lastly, this verse should fill us with joy, not fear. For those who know Christ, His return is not something to dread—it is something to long for. The reward is not just crowns or commendation. The reward is Him. He is our exceedingly great reward, as Genesis 15:1 says. Every other gift pales in comparison to His presence.
So Revelation 22:12 is not only a prophecy, it’s a compass. It points our hearts forward while grounding our feet in the present. It reminds us that the story is not over, that our labor in the Lord is not in vain, and that our King is coming—not slowly, but soon.

A prominent verse related to generational stewardship of money is Proverbs 13:22, which states, "A good man leaves an inheritance to his children's children."
This verse suggests that part of being a good steward of wealth includes planning for the future and ensuring the well-being of future generations of kingdom builders.
This verse is often cited in discussions about financial planning and legacy, it's important to remember that the Bible also emphasizes the importance of giving to those in need and being content with what one has, rather than accumulating wealth for its own sake.
The focus should be on using resources wisely and for God's glory first and foremost, NOT simply leaving a large sum of generational money.
My mission is to serve followers of Christ through helping them become builders of His kingdom. Trading is NOT a get rich scheme, rather it's a skillset that when applied from the perspective of stewarding God's wealth and will first, proves to be incredibly fulfilling!

Dear Beloved in Christ,

Jesus isn't just a story from the past—He is our living hope, and He is returning.
This verse is a call to wake up each morning with purpose, to live in a way that honors Him, and to serve others with a joyful, faithful heart.
Every act of love, every step of obedience, every moment surrendered to Christ matters.
He sees it all—and He promises that His reward is coming with Him.
Stay faithful. Keep watch. And above all, keep loving Him with your whole heart.
