Greetings,
Thank You for revealing that salvation is Your work from beginning to end... ✝️

Unpacking the Message of Luke 1:35
Luke 1:35 unveils one of the most profound mysteries of the Christian faith: the incarnation of Jesus Christ by the power of God alone. When the angel explains to Mary that the Holy Spirit will come upon her and the power of the Most High will overshadow her, Scripture makes it clear that salvation begins entirely with God’s initiative. This moment is not the result of human planning, ability, or effort, but a divine act of grace that transcends natural understanding.
The mention of the Holy Spirit coming upon Mary highlights God’s active presence in bringing about His redemptive plan. Throughout Scripture, the Spirit represents God’s life-giving power, creative work, and holy presence. In this verse, the Spirit does not merely assist; He accomplishes what is impossible for humanity. This reminds believers that God’s greatest works are not achieved through human strength, but through surrender to His Spirit.
The phrase “the power of the Most High will overshadow you” carries deep Old Testament imagery. The word overshadow evokes the cloud of God’s presence that filled the tabernacle and temple, symbolizing His nearness, holiness, and protection. By using this language, Luke shows that God Himself is drawing near in an intimate and personal way. The same God who dwelled among His people now enters the world in human form.
This verse also reveals God’s holiness. The child to be born is described as “holy,” set apart entirely for God’s purpose. Jesus is not merely a moral teacher or spiritual guide; He is uniquely holy because His origin is divine. His holiness is not achieved over time but inherent from His conception, underscoring His sinless nature and qualification to be the Savior of the world.
Calling Jesus “the Son of God” affirms His divine identity. This title establishes that Jesus is not simply God’s messenger, but God’s Son, sharing in His nature and authority. Luke 1:35 anchors the Christian understanding that Jesus is both fully God and fully human. This truth is essential to the gospel, because only someone who is truly God could save humanity, and only someone who is truly human could represent humanity.

The verse also emphasizes God’s power over limitations. Mary’s situation seemed impossible by human standards, yet God’s response does not focus on explanation but on capability. God does not argue with impossibility; He overcomes it. This teaches believers that when God calls, He also provides the power to fulfill His will, even when circumstances appear overwhelming.
Luke 1:35 highlights the humility of God’s approach to salvation. Rather than entering the world through displays of force or dominance, God comes quietly, through obedience, surrender, and faith. Mary’s role shows that God often works through those who are willing to trust Him, even when they do not fully understand what He is doing.
This verse also speaks to the relational nature of God’s work. God does not act in isolation from humanity, but invites human participation. Mary’s willingness to receive God’s plan demonstrates that faith often involves saying yes to God’s work even when it disrupts personal plans. Her example encourages believers to trust God’s purposes over their own understanding.
There is also a deep reassurance in this verse for believers today. The same Spirit who overshadowed Mary is at work in the lives of those who belong to Christ. While the incarnation is a unique event, the principle remains: God’s power operates through His Spirit in ordinary lives to bring about extraordinary transformation.
Luke 1:35 ultimately points to the heart of the gospel message. Salvation is God’s work, carried out by His power, motivated by His love, and fulfilled through His Son. Humanity does not save itself; God comes to rescue. This verse reminds believers that faith begins not with what we can do for God, but with what God has done for us.
In the end, Luke 1:35 invites worship, trust, and surrender. It calls believers to marvel at a God who enters human history, embraces human weakness, and brings life where none seemed possible. It assures us that God’s power is sufficient, His purposes are holy, and His Son is the promised Savior.

A prominent verse related to generational stewardship of money is Proverbs 13:22, which states, "A good man leaves an inheritance to his children's children."
This verse suggests that part of being a good steward of wealth includes planning for the future and ensuring the well-being of future generations of kingdom builders.
This verse is often cited in discussions about financial planning and legacy, it's important to remember that the Bible also emphasizes the importance of giving to those in need and being content with what one has, rather than accumulating wealth for its own sake.
The focus should be on using resources wisely and for God's glory first and foremost, NOT simply leaving a large sum of generational money.
My mission is to serve followers of Christ through helping them become builders of His kingdom. Trading is NOT a get rich scheme, rather it's a skillset that when applied from the perspective of stewarding God's wealth and will first, proves to be incredibly fulfilling!

Heavenly Father, I come before You acknowledging that Your power far exceeds my understanding. Open my heart today to see that Your plans are accomplished by Your strength, not mine. Amen.
Journaling Reflection
Reflect on how God’s plan of salvation began through His power alone. Where in your life are you trying to rely on your own ability instead of trusting God to work?
Closing Prayer
Lord, help me rest in the truth that You are powerful enough to accomplish Your will. I surrender my need to control outcomes. Amen.
Day 2 — The Role of the Holy Spirit
Opening Prayer
Holy Spirit, thank You for Your presence in my life. Teach me to recognize Your work and trust Your leading. Amen.

Spirit of God, continue shaping my heart. Help me remain sensitive and responsive to Your presence. Amen.
Day 3 — When God’s Calling Feels Impossible
Opening Prayer
Lord, You know the areas of my life that feel overwhelming or impossible. Help me trust You when I don’t see a way forward. Amen.

Opening Prayer
God Most High, thank You for drawing near to Your people. Help me understand what it means to live under Your covering. Amen.
Journaling Reflection
The word “overshadow” reflects God’s protective and holy presence. Where do you need God’s presence to bring peace, protection, or reassurance today?

Lord, cover my life with Your presence. Let Your nearness drive away fear and fill me with peace. Amen.
Day 5 — Jesus, the Holy Son of God
Opening Prayer
Jesus, I worship You as the Son of God. Thank You for entering the world to save and redeem me. Amen.

Day 6 — Surrendering to God’s Plan
Opening Prayer
Father, help me surrender my plans, fears, and expectations to You. Teach me to trust Your purpose above my own. Amen.
Journaling Reflection
Mary’s willingness to receive God’s plan required surrender. What is God asking you to place fully in His hands right now?

Closing thoughts as we pray for those reading or hearing this verse today...
Heavenly Father,
We come before You in awe of Your power and Your perfect plan. Thank You for revealing that salvation is Your work from beginning to end, accomplished not by human strength, but by the power of the Holy Spirit. Just as the Holy Spirit came upon Mary and the power of the Most High overshadowed her, we thank You that You still move powerfully in the lives of those who trust You.
Lord, teach us to rely on Your Spirit rather than our own understanding. When Your calling feels beyond our ability, remind us that what You initiate, You also sustain. Help us believe that nothing is impossible for You, and that Your power is made perfect in our weakness.
Jesus, we worship You as the Son of God—holy, set apart, and sent to redeem us. Thank You for entering the world through humility and grace so that we might have life. Shape our hearts to receive You fully and to carry Your presence faithfully into every part of our lives.
Holy Spirit, come upon us afresh. Overshadow our fears, our doubts, and our limitations with Your power. Lead us into deeper faith, greater obedience, and a fuller trust in God’s purposes. May our lives reflect Your glory as we surrender to Your work within us.
We place our faith in You, trusting that You're able to do more than we can ask or imagine.
In the mighty name of Jesus, the Son of God, we pray. Amen 🙏🏻
