Greetings,
Standing Strong in Christ
“Blessed are you when people hate you, when they exclude you and insult you and reject your name as evil, because of the Son of Man.” — Luke 6:22
Unpacking the Message of Luke 6:22
This verse from Luke 6:22 draws us into one of the most profound paradoxes of following Christ. Jesus declares a blessing over those who, in the world’s eyes, might appear to be cursed—those who are hated, excluded, insulted, and rejected, not for wrongdoing, but for their devotion to Him. At first glance, it feels almost contradictory. How can rejection be a blessing? How can exclusion lead to joy? Yet here, Jesus is revealing to His disciples—and to us—that the values of His Kingdom are entirely different from the values of the world.
The world measures success by popularity, influence, wealth, and recognition. But the Kingdom of God measures success by faithfulness, obedience, and alignment with Christ’s truth. To be hated and rejected on account of Jesus is not evidence of failure but a mark of being identified with Him. It means the light of Christ in us is shining brightly enough to be noticed. The world, which often resists that light, pushes back in hostility. Yet in the very act of rejection, Jesus says we are blessed, because heaven recognizes us as belonging to Him.
Consider how comforting this is for those who feel alone in their faith. Many believers, past and present, have faced insults, ridicule, and even persecution for standing firm in their devotion to Christ. From the earliest martyrs of the church to everyday Christians in school, work, or family situations, exclusion because of Christ is a shared reality. When Jesus says, “Blessed are you,” He is reminding us that our worth does not come from the opinions of others. Our blessing flows from our relationship with Him, a relationship that no insult or rejection can strip away.
This verse also forces us to examine how deeply we value human approval. Rejection is painful. To be excluded from a group, to be labeled wrongly, or to be misunderstood cuts deeply at the core of our need for belonging. But Jesus redirects our sense of belonging away from the fragile approval of people and anchors it in the eternal acceptance of God. The pain of rejection in the present cannot outweigh the joy of eternal affirmation from our Lord. This is a radical reorientation of perspective.

It also raises the question of identity. If we are living for Christ in word and deed, rejection because of Him affirms that our identity is firmly rooted in Him. This does not mean we seek conflict or rejoice in being disliked, but rather that we remain steadfast when following Jesus brings tension. It is in these moments that our faith is tested and refined. The blessing Jesus speaks of is both present—His Spirit strengthens us and fills us with peace—and future, as He promises an eternal reward that far outweighs temporary rejection.
When people insult or malign you because of Christ, it is a reminder that the life of faith is countercultural. Jesus Himself was despised and rejected by men, so it should not surprise us when His followers experience the same. But notice that His rejection led to resurrection and glory. Likewise, our endurance through rejection points to a deeper hope beyond this life.
This verse invites us to live courageously. Fear of rejection often tempts us to compromise, to hide our faith, or to soften the truth. Yet Jesus reminds us that in standing boldly with Him, even when it costs us socially or emotionally, we are stepping into blessing. The blessing is not in the rejection itself but in the assurance that we are counted worthy to share in His life.
Finally, this promise from Jesus encourages us to cultivate compassion for those who reject us. Instead of bitterness, we can respond with love and prayer, remembering that many who now resist Christ may one day embrace Him. Our response to rejection becomes part of our testimony, pointing back to the One who endured ultimate rejection so that we could be eternally accepted.

A prominent verse related to generational stewardship of money is Proverbs 13:22, which states, "A good man leaves an inheritance to his children's children."
This verse suggests that part of being a good steward of wealth includes planning for the future and ensuring the well-being of future generations of kingdom builders.
This verse is often cited in discussions about financial planning and legacy, it's important to remember that the Bible also emphasizes the importance of giving to those in need and being content with what one has, rather than accumulating wealth for its own sake.
The focus should be on using resources wisely and for God's glory first and foremost, NOT simply leaving a large sum of generational money.
My mission is to serve followers of Christ through helping them become builders of His kingdom. Trading is NOT a get rich scheme, rather it's a skillset that when applied from the perspective of stewarding God's wealth and will first, proves to be incredibly fulfilling!

Closing thoughts as we pray for those reading or hearing this verse today...
Dear Beloved in Christ,
Standing Strong in Christ ✝️
Jesus reminded us of a powerful truth:
“Blessed are you when people hate you, when they exclude you and insult you and reject your name as evil, because of the Son of Man.” — Luke 6:22
Following Christ isn’t always met with applause. In fact, sometimes it leads to rejection, misunderstanding, or even hostility. But here’s the promise—when we endure these trials for His sake, we are not forgotten. We are blessed.
Every insult borne, every exclusion faced because of your faith is seen by the Lord, and it will be turned into eternal joy and reward. What the world rejects, God embraces. What the world mocks, Heaven honors.
So keep standing strong. Keep living boldly for Jesus. You are blessed more than you know.
In His grace 🙏🏻
