Greetings,
God Is Working — Even When You Can’t See It
“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” — Romans 8:28

Unpacking the Message of Romans 8:28
Romans 8:28 is one of the most comforting, yet deeply challenging verses in all of Scripture. It reads, “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” These words have carried countless believers through the darkest valleys, and yet, they also call us to a higher perspective—one that sees beyond what’s visible, beyond the immediate, and into the eternal heart of God.
Let’s begin by reflecting on the confidence in those opening words: “And we know…” Paul doesn’t say, “we hope,” or “we think,” or “we wish.” He says, “we know.” This is not a blind optimism or a feel-good saying to get us through hard times. It’s a declaration of assurance. It’s faith built on relationship, not circumstance. Paul is saying that the believer who truly knows God also knows—deep in their spirit—that God is faithful, even when life isn’t fair.
When we look at our own lives, we often see fragments—broken pieces, painful moments, unanswered prayers. But God sees the whole picture. He’s weaving together what seems meaningless into something magnificent. Think of a tapestry: from the back, it looks like a tangled mess of threads. But when you turn it around, you see a masterpiece. That’s how God works in the lives of those who love Him.
This verse also reminds us that “all things” means exactly that—all things. Not just the good days, not just the answered prayers, not just the victories. It includes the pain, the heartbreak, the failures, and the things we wish never happened. God doesn’t cause all things, but He does use all things. Every trial, every disappointment, every setback—He repurposes it for His glory and our ultimate good.
The key, however, is who this promise applies to: “those who love Him and are called according to His purpose.” This isn’t a blanket promise for the world. It’s a promise for those walking in relationship with Him. To love God isn’t just to believe in Him—it’s to trust Him, to surrender to Him, to align our hearts with His will. And to be “called according to His purpose” means we are part of a divine story bigger than ourselves. God’s goal isn’t simply to make us comfortable—it’s to make us complete in Christ.
There are seasons in life when God’s “good” doesn’t look like our version of good. Sometimes His good means pruning, correction, or waiting. Sometimes it means walking through pain so we can grow in empathy and strength. Other times it means losing something we wanted so that we can gain something we truly need. The world tells us good means comfort, ease, and happiness. But in God’s Kingdom, good means transformation, maturity, and holiness.
We can think of Joseph in the Old Testament. Sold by his brothers, betrayed, imprisoned—his life seemed like one tragedy after another. But at the end, when he was elevated to power in Egypt and able to save his family from famine, he looked at his brothers and said, “You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good.” That’s Romans 8:28 in action. God was working behind the scenes the whole time, even when Joseph couldn’t see it.

In our own lives, we can look back on moments that once seemed devastating, and realize they were doorways to something greater. Maybe that job you lost was the path to a calling you didn’t see coming. Maybe the heartbreak that nearly crushed you taught you to lean fully on God’s love. Maybe the struggle you face right now is actually shaping you for the season ahead.
When we walk with God, nothing is wasted. Not a tear. Not a trial. Not a delay. Everything—everything—is part of His plan to refine us and draw us closer to Him. That’s what it means to trust that “in all things God works for the good.”
The final part of the verse—“who have been called according to His purpose”—invites us to live intentionally. You and I are not random. You are not an accident. God called you on purpose, for a purpose. Your life has eternal meaning. Every challenge you face is shaping you for your calling. Every blessing you receive is equipping you for your mission. The enemy may try to derail you, but he cannot destroy what God has purposed for your life.
So when life feels uncertain, remember: your story isn’t finished. God is still working. Even when the pieces don’t fit, even when the night feels long, He’s orchestrating something you can’t yet see. Our role is to keep loving Him, keep trusting Him, and keep walking according to His purpose.
And one day, when you look back, you’ll see what He was doing all along. You’ll see that the pain had a purpose, the delays had direction, and the disappointments were divine redirections. God is not just working things out—He’s working things together for your good and His glory.
That’s the hope we hold onto as believers. Romans 8:28 isn’t just a verse—it’s a way of life. It’s a reminder that no matter what we face, we can rest in the unshakable truth that our God wastes nothing and redeems everything.
So today, and every day, we can declare with confidence: “I may not see it now, but I know my God is working—all things—for my good.”

A prominent verse related to generational stewardship of money is Proverbs 13:22, which states, "A good man leaves an inheritance to his children's children."
This verse suggests that part of being a good steward of wealth includes planning for the future and ensuring the well-being of future generations of kingdom builders.
This verse is often cited in discussions about financial planning and legacy, it's important to remember that the Bible also emphasizes the importance of giving to those in need and being content with what one has, rather than accumulating wealth for its own sake.
The focus should be on using resources wisely and for God's glory first and foremost, NOT simply leaving a large sum of generational money.
My mission is to serve followers of Christ through helping them become builders of His kingdom. Trading is NOT a get rich scheme, rather it's a skillset that when applied from the perspective of stewarding God's wealth and will first, proves to be incredibly fulfilling!

Closing thoughts as we pray for those reading or hearing this verse today...
Dear Beloved in Christ,
God Is Working — Even When You Can’t See It
Life doesn’t always make sense in the moment. There are days when the pieces don’t seem to fit, when pain or disappointment cloud the bigger picture.
But God’s Word gives us a promise we can stand on:
“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” — Romans 8:28
Even when we can’t see His hand, we can trust His heart. God is weaving every detail — the triumphs and the trials — into something good for those who love Him. Nothing is wasted in His plan.
So whatever season you’re walking through today, hold tight to this truth: God is at work behind the scenes, shaping your story for His glory and your good.
Keep trusting Him — even in the waiting.
In Christ’s steadfast love 🙏🏻
