Greetings,
A Life Born of the Spirit 🌿
"Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit." — John 3:6
Unpacking the Message of John 3:6
This verse from John 3:6, "Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit," comes from a deeply spiritual conversation between Jesus and Nicodemus. Jesus is laying out a foundational truth about the nature of spiritual rebirth. To understand it fully is to understand the heart of the gospel message and what it truly means to live a life transformed by the Spirit of God.
The first phrase, “Flesh gives birth to flesh,” speaks to our natural, earthly condition. We are all born of human parents into a world marked by sin, limitation, and mortality. The “flesh” here doesn’t just refer to our physical bodies—it represents human nature apart from God. It is finite, self-centered, and inherently incapable of producing spiritual life on its own. No matter how noble our efforts or how disciplined our behavior, the flesh can never cross over into the spiritual realm by its own strength. Religion without the Spirit is just flesh giving birth to more flesh—rituals without relationship, effort without true transformation.
In contrast, Jesus says, “the Spirit gives birth to spirit.” This is the miraculous work of God. It is not something we achieve, but something we receive. It’s about a new beginning, a spiritual rebirth, initiated by the Holy Spirit. Just as we had no control over our physical birth, we cannot engineer this second birth—it comes by God’s grace through faith. When we accept Christ and are born again, we’re not simply improving our old selves—we are made entirely new creations. Our spirit, once dormant and separated from God, is now alive, responsive, and in communion with the Spirit of God.
This verse also invites us to examine where we are operating from—flesh or Spirit. Are our daily choices, reactions, and motivations rooted in self-preservation, fear, pride, or comparison? Or are they shaped by love, peace, patience, and the fruit of the Spirit? To be born of the Spirit is not just a one-time experience but the beginning of a lifelong transformation, where the Holy Spirit continually renews our minds and aligns our desires with God's will.
There is also a call to patience and trust embedded in this truth. Spiritual growth, unlike the rapid pace of the world, follows a different rhythm. It requires surrender. When we try to control outcomes or prove ourselves by worldly standards, we’re operating in the flesh. But when we yield to God, listen for His voice, and walk in step with the Spirit, we begin to see life through the lens of eternity. Our identity shifts from being self-made to Spirit-born.

Additionally, this verse challenges the way we approach discipleship and ministry. If flesh only gives birth to flesh, then programs, entertainment, or emotional appeals can never substitute for the Spirit’s work. True ministry happens when the Spirit of God moves through us to awaken the spirits of others. It humbles us to know that no matter how charismatic or gifted we are, only the Spirit can draw people into the kingdom. Our job is to be vessels—obedient, available, and faithful—and trust God to do the work of transformation.
John 3:6 also reveals something deeply personal: your true self is not defined by your past, your performance, or your earthly identity. If you’ve been born again, then your spirit has been made alive in Christ. That means you are not the sum of your failures or weaknesses. You are a child of God, indwelt by His Spirit, empowered to live a new kind of life. It’s a life marked by intimacy with God, confidence in your identity, and purpose that transcends this temporary world.
So, how does one live in the Spirit? It starts with awareness and intentionality. Spend time in prayer, in the Word, and in silence—spaces where the Spirit can speak and shape your heart. Learn to pause before reacting, to ask God for guidance before making decisions, and to cultivate a listening heart. Be sensitive to conviction, and quick to repent when the flesh tries to take the lead again. Surround yourself with others who walk in the Spirit, and who will encourage and sharpen your walk.
Finally, remember that the spiritual life is not about perfection, but direction. Being born of the Spirit doesn’t mean you won’t stumble, but it does mean you are no longer bound by your old nature. When you fall, you rise not in your strength but in the power of the Spirit within you. Your journey is one of sanctification—becoming more like Christ as the Spirit works in you day by day.
“Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit.” This is not only a theological truth—it is a living, breathing promise that the life of God is available to you right now. Embrace it, trust it, and walk in it.

A prominent verse related to generational stewardship of money is Proverbs 13:22, which states, "A good man leaves an inheritance to his children's children."
This verse suggests that part of being a good steward of wealth includes planning for the future and ensuring the well-being of future generations of kingdom builders.
This verse is often cited in discussions about financial planning and legacy, it's important to remember that the Bible also emphasizes the importance of giving to those in need and being content with what one has, rather than accumulating wealth for its own sake.
The focus should be on using resources wisely and for God's glory first and foremost, NOT simply leaving a large sum of generational money.
My mission is to serve followers of Christ through helping them become builders of His kingdom. Trading is NOT a get rich scheme, rather it's a skillset that when applied from the perspective of stewarding God's wealth and will first, proves to be incredibly fulfilling!

"Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit."
This guide is crafted to help you reflect deeply on what it means to live a Spirit-led life and invite ongoing spiritual transformation throughout the week...
Day 1: Understanding the Divide
Journaling Prompt: What do you think Jesus meant by the distinction between flesh and Spirit? Where do you notice the influence of the flesh most in your daily life?
Prayer Focus: Ask the Holy Spirit to begin showing you clearly what is born of the flesh in your thoughts and actions, and to awaken your spirit to greater truth.
Day 2: New Birth, New Identity
Journaling Prompt: Reflect on your experience of spiritual rebirth. How has your identity changed since coming to know Christ? What evidence is there in your life of the Spirit's work?
Prayer Focus: Thank God for the gift of new birth in Christ. Invite Him to deepen your understanding of your identity as a child of God, born of the Spirit.
Day 3: Recognizing Fleshly Patterns
Journaling Prompt: Where are you still living according to the flesh — perhaps through fear, pride, control, or self-reliance? What habits do you need to surrender?
Prayer Focus: Confess those areas where flesh still dominates. Ask the Spirit to take control and produce spiritual fruit instead.
Day 4: Living by the Spirit
Journaling Prompt: What does living by the Spirit look like practically for you right now? How can you cultivate more spiritual sensitivity in your thoughts, choices, and relationships?
Prayer Focus: Ask the Holy Spirit to fill you afresh today — to lead, convict, and comfort you as only He can.
Day 5: Flesh vs. Spirit in Relationships
Journaling Prompt: Think about your closest relationships. Are they more influenced by flesh (selfishness, competition, resentment) or Spirit (love, patience, humility)?
Prayer Focus: Pray over your relationships, asking the Spirit to guide you into reconciliation, compassion, and grace.
Day 6: Spiritual Discernment and Growth
Journaling Prompt: How do you discern the voice of the Spirit from the noise of the world or your own flesh? What practices help you grow spiritually?
Prayer Focus: Ask God to give you ears to hear the Spirit and eyes to see what He’s doing in your life. Commit to creating space for Him to speak.
Day 7: A Spirit-Born Life of Purpose
Journaling Prompt: What fruit has the Spirit already produced in you? How do you sense God calling you to walk in greater purpose and obedience?
Prayer Focus: Surrender your desires and ambitions. Ask the Spirit to continually lead you into a life that reflects your rebirth — full of love, truth, and power.
