Greetings,
A Deeper Desire That Transforms Everything
“I want to know Christ—yes, to know the power of his resurrection and participation in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death.” — Philippians 3:10

Unpacking the Message of Philippians 3:10
A desire like the one Paul expresses in Philippians 3:10 is not a casual wish; it is the heartbeat of someone utterly captured by the reality of Christ. When Paul says, “I want to know Christ,” he isn’t referring to intellectual knowledge or theological trivia. The Greek word for “know”—ginosko—speaks of experiential understanding, relationship, closeness, and personal encounter. Paul longs not merely to know about Jesus but to know Him intimately, relationally, and continually. It’s the yearning of a man who has tasted something so glorious that nothing else can compare. This verse becomes an invitation to reassess our own desires. Do we want Christ like that? Do we pursue Him with that kind of intensity and focus? Spiritual maturity is not measured by how much information we gather but by how deeply our heart is united with His.
Paul then speaks of knowing “the power of His resurrection.” Resurrection power is not metaphorical; it is the same power that raised Jesus from the dead, the same power that broke the grip of sin, hell, and death. Paul is saying he doesn’t want to live his life in his own strength. He wants to move, breathe, respond, and endure by resurrection power—divine enablement that changes attitudes, transforms desires, and empowers obedience. This power is meant for everyday living. It is the power to forgive when forgiveness feels impossible, to persevere when you are exhausted, to live holy when temptations press hard, and to stand firm when the world pushes back. Knowing Christ means living in a power that is not your own, accessing supernatural strength in ordinary moments.
But Paul doesn’t stop at resurrection power; he also speaks of “participation in His sufferings.” At first glance, this is unsettling. We love resurrection power, but “suffering” sounds like something to avoid. Yet Paul sees suffering differently. He sees suffering as something that unites him with Jesus. When we choose righteousness over ease, when we choose faithfulness over comfort, when we choose obedience over popularity, we experience a form of suffering that aligns us with Christ’s own path. Suffering in this sense becomes a refining tool. It reveals what we truly value, exposes what we cling to, and shapes us into the likeness of Jesus. In suffering, Paul does not feel abandoned—he feels accompanied. Christ meets us in the furnace. He sits with us in the pain. He strengthens us in the refining process. And what results is a deeper, more resilient faith.
Then Paul finishes with the phrase “becoming like Him in His death.” This is not a morbid or fatalistic statement; it’s a declaration of surrender. Jesus’ death represented complete obedience to the Father, absolute humility, and total self-giving love. To “become like Him in His death” means dying to self—dying to ego, pride, self-preservation, and personal agendas. It means saying, “Not my will, but Yours be done.” When we lay down our old nature, our fleshly pursuits, our insistence on control, and our craving for the approval of others, we make room for Christ to live more fully in us. This death is actually a doorway. It’s through this surrender that the true Christian life emerges—the life shaped by resurrection, marked by love, and governed by the Spirit.

This verse also challenges the way we perceive discipleship. Modern Christianity can often drift toward comfort, convenience, and surface-level commitment. Yet Paul’s words pull us back to the core: Knowing Christ deeply will cost you something. It will pull you out of your comfort zone. It will stretch you. It will confront your motives. It will ask you to trust God when circumstances don’t make sense. It will lead you into seasons where your faith is tested, not because God is cruel but because He is committed to forming Christ in you. Paul’s longing is not for an easy faith; it is for a powerful, authentic, transformative faith that looks like Jesus.
Notice also that Paul speaks of all these things—knowing Christ, knowing resurrection power, sharing in suffering, becoming like Him—as a single pursuit. They’re not isolated experiences but interconnected pathways that lead us deeper into the heart of God. You cannot know resurrection power without first dying to something. You cannot grow in intimacy with Christ without learning to obey Him. You cannot be formed into His likeness without walking through trials. These elements braid together to produce a disciple who looks more like Jesus each day.
This verse also reframes the way we interpret hardship. The world sees suffering as something to flee, something that weakens, diminishes, or destroys. But the believer sees suffering through a different lens. It becomes a place of encounter, a classroom of grace, a battlefield where God proves Himself faithful. When you walk through trials with Christ, you don’t emerge empty—you emerge refined, humbled, strengthened, and more deeply anchored in His love. Paul knew that every hardship he endured drew him closer to the Savior he longed to know.
Ultimately, Paul’s words remind us that Christianity is not a spectator faith. It is a journey of deepening intimacy, daily surrender, spiritual transformation, and divine empowerment. To know Christ is to walk with Him through both triumph and trial. It is to trust His power in your weakness, to model His humility in your relationships, to embody His love in your actions, and to reflect His character in your choices. As you pursue Him with the same desire Paul expressed, you will find that knowing Christ is not simply one part of the Christian life—it is the Christian life.

A prominent verse related to generational stewardship of money is Proverbs 13:22, which states, "A good man leaves an inheritance to his children's children."
This verse suggests that part of being a good steward of wealth includes planning for the future and ensuring the well-being of future generations of kingdom builders.
This verse is often cited in discussions about financial planning and legacy, it's important to remember that the Bible also emphasizes the importance of giving to those in need and being content with what one has, rather than accumulating wealth for its own sake.
The focus should be on using resources wisely and for God's glory first and foremost, NOT simply leaving a large sum of generational money.
My mission is to serve followers of Christ through helping them become builders of His kingdom. Trading is NOT a get rich scheme, rather it's a skillset that when applied from the perspective of stewarding God's wealth and will first, proves to be incredibly fulfilling!

Opening Prayer
Lord Jesus, quiet my heart as I come before You. Open my spirit to hear Your voice and to desire You above all else. Draw me closer as I reflect today. Amen.

Closing Prayer
Jesus, deepen my longing for You. Remove distractions that dull my hunger for Your presence. Teach me to make You my highest pursuit. Amen.
Day 2 — Knowing the Power of His Resurrection
Opening Prayer
Father, fill my heart with hope today. Help me see Your resurrection power at work in my life. Strengthen my faith as I write. Amen.

Think about areas of your life where you need resurrection power—strength in weakness, hope in discouragement, freedom from sin, boldness where fear has ruled. Invite God to breathe new life into these places and write what that restoration would look like.
Closing Prayer
Lord, thank You for resurrection power that is active in me. Help me to walk in that power today and trust You in every area. Amen.
Day 3 — Sharing in His Sufferings
Opening Prayer
Jesus, meet me in this space. Help me not to fear suffering but to see it as a place where You draw me closer. Speak gently to my heart. Amen.
Journal Focus
Reflect on a current or past hardship. How did God use it to shape you, refine you, strengthen you, or reveal Himself? Write about how suffering—while painful—has a way of drawing you into deeper dependence and intimacy with Christ.
Closing Prayer
Jesus, thank You for staying close in every hardship. Teach me to see suffering not as abandonment but as companionship with You. Amen.
Day 4 — Learning Surrender: Becoming Like Him in His Death
Opening Prayer
Lord, help me let go today. Guide me into deeper surrender and show me what needs to die in me so Your life can grow stronger. Amen.
Journal Focus
Ask God to reveal what needs to be surrendered—pride, self-reliance, bitterness, old habits, or hidden fears. Write about what dying to self looks like in your daily life. Be specific and honest.
Closing Prayer
Father, give me courage to release what You are asking me to surrender. Shape me into the likeness of Your Son. Amen.
Day 5 — Making Christ the Center of Your Daily Life
Opening Prayer
Jesus, reign in my heart today. Help me see where I have centered my life around lesser things. Reorder my desires, my time, and my habits. Amen.
Journal Focus
Reflect on your daily rhythms and habits. Are they drawing you closer to Christ or simply filling time? Write about practical ways to center your life around Jesus—through Scripture, prayer, decisions, relationships, and thought patterns.
Closing Prayer
Lord, help me build my life around You alone. Let every decision and desire reflect Your presence in me. Amen.
Day 6 — Walking in Resurrection Power Daily
Opening Prayer
Holy Spirit, empower me today. Remind me that I am not meant to live by my own strength. Fill me with the same power that raised Jesus from the dead. Amen.
Journal Focus
Consider where you still rely on your own effort instead of God’s strength. Write about how resurrection power can change your attitude, your choices, and your responses. Identify one practical step to live empowered rather than drained.
Closing Prayer
Spirit of God, strengthen me for every task and every battle. Help me rely fully on Your power, not my own abilities. Amen.
Day 7 — Becoming More Like Christ
Opening Prayer
Jesus, thank You for walking with me through this week. Open my heart to see how You are shaping me into Your likeness. Help me listen and respond. Amen.
Journal Focus
Reflect on how this week has changed your thoughts, desires, or understanding of Christ. Write about how you see Him forming His character, humility, and love within you. Commit to a long-term pursuit of knowing Him more deeply.
Closing Prayer
Lord Jesus, thank You for everything You’ve revealed this week. Continue shaping me into Your image. Help me walk in intimacy, power, surrender, and obedience every day. Amen.

Closing thoughts as we pray for those reading or hearing this verse today...
Dear Beloved in Christ,
A Deeper Desire That Transforms Everything
There is a longing placed deep within every follower of Jesus—a desire not just to believe in Him, but to truly know Him. Paul captures this hunger so beautifully:
“I want to know Christ—yes, to know the power of his resurrection and participation in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death.” — Philippians 3:10
This verse invites us beyond surface-level faith. It calls us to pursue Christ intimately, wholeheartedly, and courageously.
To know the power of His resurrection is to walk in victory, freedom, and new life.
But Paul reminds us that knowing Christ also means sharing in His sufferings — embracing the refining, the stretching, and the surrender that shapes us into His likeness.
This journey isn’t always easy, but it is always worth it.
When you desire Christ above comfort, above success, above anything this world can offer, something extraordinary happens—your heart begins to mirror His. Your steps begin to follow His. Your life begins to reflect His glory.
My prayer today is that your longing for Jesus grows deeper still.
May you know His power in your weakness, His presence in your trials, and His resurrection life in every part of your journey.
Keep pressing in. He is worth it.
Standing with you in faith 🙏🏻
